Superstitious Frèdèric MALLE

IT: Superstitious mi ha sorpreso e tanto. Dalle note - aldeidi, rosa, gelsomino - lo immaginavo saponoso, retrò, ma non lo era. Gli aldeidi ci sono presenti in tutto loro splendore, ma non saponosi, ma frizzanti e acidi. Vapporizzandolo entri in una nuvola scintillante, candeggiante con dei sentori di Champagne super dry cosparsa con petali di rosa. Mi domandavo sul sentore accidulo - forse è la pesca ancora non matura o la rosa briosa e l’incenso??? Non lo so! Il profumo nella sua complessità è freddo, non fresco. E' fiorito, ma non gentile. Il gelsomino che emerge è furbo, la rosa – metallica. Gli aldeidi qui non sono morbidi, né saponosi né talcati, ma sono spumeggianti. Superstitious è unico! Non mi ricorda i grandi classici – Chanel N. 5 o Arpège di Lanvin. Casomai a tratti Jour d'Hermes, Vraie Blonde di Etat Libre d'Orange o Portrait of a Lady di Malle, tutti tanto diversi tra di loro. Lo trovo piuttosto arrogante, angolare, ma in modo in cui non si può spiegare perché. Non lo porta una donna classy, ma moderna e soprattutto COOL. Non è un profumo che ti abbraccia, non ti dà alcuna fiducia se lo senti. Superstitious suscita curiosità, ma crea una zona protettiva che non facilità la comunicazione. La persistenza è ottima - 10 ore. L'ultima osservazione - credo che mi ricordi Rose di Pierre Cardin - una fragranza che sentì più di 20 anni fa, ma dovrei risentirlo per essere sicura. 100ml/260.-€

ENG: Superstitious surprised me. Based on the notes - aldehydes, peach, rose,jasmine - I imagined it soapy, retrò, but the reality was different. The aldehydes are presented in all of their splendor, but they are not soapy, they are sparkling and sour. The first spray was a fizzy, aggressive splash with  hints of a super dry Champagne sprinkled with rose petals. The sour presence was so evident that I was sure to see a grapefruit or some other citrus among the notes, but they were not listed. I wondered - maybe it comes from not ripe peach or from fresh rose and incense ??? I do not know! The fragrance  in its complexity is cold, but not refreshening. It's blooming, but not gentle. The  jasmine is wicked, the rose -metallic. The aldehydes here are not soft, neither soapy or powdery,they are sparkling. This fragrance becomes powdery only after several hours while still preserving its sourness. Superstitious is unique! It doesn’t recall big classics - Chanel N. 5 or Arpège, but in some moments refers to Jour d'Hermes, ELDO Vraie Blonde or Portrait of a Lady -  all so different from each other.

I find Superstitious somehow arrogant, angular but in the way I cannot explain. It’s  not classy, ​​but modern, and above all a COOL woman who wears it. It is not a perfume that embraces you and it doesn’t give any confidence  who perceives it. Superstitious arouses curiosity, but creates a protective zone that does not facilitate communication.

The longevity is great - 10 hours.
